THE AMPHITHEATER
It’s a naked stage
With lights so glittering
Yet so dim
With an atmosphere of fire and ice
With audience very far yet very near
Awaiting that moment of truth
Be it a rib-cracking comedy,
A heart-piercing tragedy
Or a perplexing tragicomedy,
Within a midget of a second
Or a tower of an hour,
Individually per time,
Without fear or favour,
We shall all be summoned oneday
To perform our role on the perpetual script.
Be it a major leading role
Or a mere supporting role
Each one of us shall account for his time spent on stage
How prepared are you?
How ready are your feet to grace this stage?
Will your performance be over
Before the Maker calls,
Or will the amphitheater be shut
Be your performance starts?
Or will the amphitheater be shut
Be your performance starts?
